Landlocked developing country

A sovereign state that is entirely enclosed by land, or whose only coastlines lie on closed seas, and therefore lacks a territorial access to the sea, which causes remoteness and isolation from world markets and high transit costs imposing serious constraints on the overall socio-economic development.
